Dates Needed: Full time/Contract
Supervisor: Executive Director

Job Description:

The Area Director is responsible for running all operations of Peak 7 Adventures in the area. This includes developing partnerships with organizations, meeting goals for program participation, fundraising, staff recruitment and volunteer engagement. This person will be the primary representative of Peak 7 in the area, communicating its mission and values both internally and externally. This person will work directly with the Executive Director to develop, communicate and implement strategy for Peak 7 in .

This is a unique opportunity to assist in the launch of Peak 7 in a new market. The candidate should be prepared to “get their hands dirty” in all aspects of the launch while guiding the regional organization towards a stable and scalable long term structure.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee area operations
• Build partnerships with existing youth focused organizations
• Set and achieve goals for program participation
• Engage donors to meet financial targets
• Recruit staff and volunteers
• Develop and execute short and long term strategies to achieve growth
• Strengthen programs to deliver an excellent participant experience
• Collaborate with Executive Director to evaluate new strategic opportunities

Qualifications:

• Commitment to Jesus Christ
• Calling to serve youth, especially underprivileged or at-risk youth
• Personal experience with outdoor adventure activities and a desire to see youth spiritually transformed through these adventures
• 3+ years supervising employees
• 3+ years budget responsibility
• Experience developing and communicating organizational strategy
• Sales or fundraising experience a strong plus
• Experience in a startup of any kind a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial, proactive and ready for a challenge
• Self Starter with ability to work independently
