Wilderness Instructor

Ascent Guide

Peak 7 Adventure’s guides conduct exciting, inspiring, physically demanding, and Christ centered wilderness courses for a variety of populations including but not limited to families, youth, adults, the disabled, and church groups. Courses are 5 days in length. Positions are seasonal from mid - June through August or September.

The Assistant Guide has responsibility for teaching technical skills as well as leading group discussions and will assist the Senior Guide in all areas. This is where all instructors begin. It is an opportunity to learn more about our adventures and to develop one’s teaching and technical skills and processing abilities under the mentoring and encouragement of the Program Coordinator. This position requires strong wilderness leadership and interpersonal skills.

The Senior Guide has significant experience with Peak 7 Adventures, or a comparable program, and is very familiar with the Peak 7 process.
