Job Description:
The Development Manager is responsible for fundraising, networking and brand development. This includes developing partnerships with other youth-centric organizations and churches, meeting fundraising goals, and developing material to articulate Peak 7’s mission.
This person will work directly with the Executive Director to develop, communicate and implement strategy for growing Peak 7. This person will be the primary person in Peak 7 responsible for communicating its mission and values.
Additionally, this is a unique opportunity to assist in the growth of a new market. The candidate should be prepared to “get their hands dirty” in all aspects of the launch. This position includes a fair amount of travel between Seattle, Spokane and Portland.
Responsibilities:
• Build partnerships with existing youth focused organizations
• Engage donors to meet fundraising goals
• Attend occasional conferences to help make Peak 7 more effective in our operations, organizational development, and fundraising
• Develop well written and visually appealing sales material
• Collaborate with Executive Director to evaluate new strategic opportunities
• Grant writing
Qualifications:
• Commitment to Jesus Christ
• Calling to serve youth, especially underprivileged or at-risk youth
• Personal experience with outdoor adventure activities and a desire to see youth spiritually transformed through these adventures
• Sales or fundraising experience
• Background of leadership experiences
• Experience in a startup of any kind a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial, proactive and ready for a challenge
• Self Starter with ability to work independently
• Flexibility to help in other areas of the organization as needed
Salary:
DOE US Dollars
