Program Manager Information
Dates Needed: Full time/Contract
Supervisor: Executive Director
Job Description:
Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Manager manages the Program Coordinators at each of Peak 7's branches. Additionally, the incumbent is expected to recruit volunteers, assist with fundraising efforts and participate in the outdoor activities. The position may require: being on call, responding to emergencies at any hour, and being physically and emotionally capable of safely leading youth in outdoor activities.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure recruitment of program participants
• Be a Peak 7 Adventures representative in Spokane, Seattle or Oregon, effectively communicating it’s mission and values to partnership organizations, foundations, donors, and potential participants.
• Maintain good public relations with news media, parents, and local outdoor representatives.
• Meet with and make presentations to churches, organizations and individuals to build awareness and get people involved with Peak 7 Adventures.
• Plan, organize and schedule activities (follow up, book, volunteers, etc…)
• Have a thorough knowledge of all policies approved by the administrative team.
Minimum education and work experience:
• Commitment to Jesus Christ, which reflects Christ in every aspect of his/her vocation and personal life.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and experience in outdoor related skills and understanding of procedures pertinent to outdoor programs.
• Entrepreneurial and innovative personality
Desired qualifications:
• Wilderness First Responder and Raft Guide Certification
• 2+ years of experience managing staff
• Valid training in CPR and First Aid
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of duties, working conditions, and priorities.
The incumbent must be a person who embodies the following:

• An understanding of and ability to work with others and an appropriate sense of behavior when working with youth.
• A good work ethic with sufficient physical and emotional energy to work long hours.
• A self-starter who creates ideas and follows through without prodding but knows when and how to ask for assistance and counsel.
