Whitewater Raft Guide

Spokane and Wenatchee Rivers

Spokane guides interact as role models, talk about the beauty of God's creation while leading the group in facing their fears through class 3/4 rapids. Trips end at a swimming hole where staff and participants continue to hang out at the wrap-up BBQ.

Application Deadline: Feburary 10th

Season: March 29th - July 15th (option of going to Portland through Aug. 20)
Time Commitment: March - July: Minimum of 40 hours a week. Some flexibility in schedule available.

Raft Guide Requirements:
• Christian faith
• 18 year of age or older
• Adult CPR/First Aid
• Successful completion of Peak 7 Adventure’s Raft Guide School
• A 1-season commitment minimum, 2 season commitment preferred
• Excellent physical condition

Qualifications:
1. Commitment to Jesus Christ which reflects Christ in every aspect of his/her

vocation and personal life.

2. Previous Outdoor Leadership experience (desirable but not mandatory).
3. Knowledge and background in outdoor learning experiences.
4. Valid training in CPR and First Aid

5. Swiftwater or Whitewater Rescue Technician (preferred but not required)

Deschutes and McKenzie Rivers

Portland guides interact as role models, talk about the beauty of God's creation while leading the group in facing their fears through class 3/4 rapids. Trips last from one to six days cover 8-100 miles of river

Application Deadline: May 1st

Season: May 21th - August 20th
Time Commitment: Minimum of 40 hours a week. Can be gone for several days at a time.

Qualifications:
1. Commitment to Jesus Christ which reflects Christ in every aspect of his/her

vocation and personal life.

2. Previous Outdoor Leadership experience (desirable but not mandatory).
3. Knowledge and background in outdoor learning experiences.
4. Valid training in CPR and First Aid

5. Swiftwater or Whitewater Rescue Technician (preferred but not required)
