Ryan co-founded Peak 7 Adventures and has served as Executive Director from the outset, actively leading programs and trips each year. He grew up in Ecuador and Kenya throughout most of his younger years. He is a Cum Laude graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. Ryan has worked as an ACA Certified Whitewater Kayak Instructor and Raft Guide Instructor, as well as a climbing and backpacking guide. Ryan's passions include mountaineering, climbing, backpacking, whitewater kayaking, rafting, mountain biking and traveling. He has expedition experience all over the World. Together with his wife Loran, they pursue their passions to get people involved with God's creation. Ryan, Loran and their son Dane and daughter Addie live in Spokane, WA.

Nick has grown up in Spokane his whole life and has a true passion for the Pacific Northwest and it’s surroundings. He values the overall wellness and rejuvenation that the great outdoors bring about in one’s self. Some of his favorite past times include fishing, camping, hiking, snowboarding, climbing, snowshoeing, serving the community, and spending time with the Lord. Graduating from Gonzaga University with a Bachelors in Business Administration with Concentrations in International Management and Marketing, he’s excited to bring his talents to Peak 7 and the communities in which they serve. Above all else, Nick loves the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, mind, body, and soul, and is so thankful for all the blessings he’s been given in life. “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in.” (Matthew 5:16)

Jamie Jordan

A native of Spokane, Washington, Jamie has always loved mountains, rivers, and spending time outdoors. Even thought she has never rafted a river or climbed a mountain, you never know what the year will bring! In the summer she can be found camping with her three kids, running through the sprinklers, and competing in road races. Recently she completed her second half marathon and hopes to do many more, maybe even a triathlon next year! She also enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Her greatest adventure in life has been raising her kids and she feels honored to be their mother. Jamie is excited to be a part of Peak 7 and a witness to what God is doing in the lives of the next generation.

Loran, Ryan’s beautiful wife, grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended college at Clemson University. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism Management, like Ryan, but emphasized in Recreation Therapy. Loran is a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Therapist. She worked several years at the Tamarack Center (residential psychiatric facility) and also worked at Young Life camps and as a camp counselor at the Presidio YMCA in San Francisco. She has also coached soccer and basketball in South Carolina. You can find Loran swimming, biking, and running in triathlons, as well as skiing, backpacking, climbing, kayaking but mainly talking!

Austin grew up in a log cabin out near Cheney Washington. He loves being outside and enjoying nature. After graduating from Eastern Washington University with a degree in outdoor recreation, he spent 4 months living in Germany working with youth at Ramstein AFB. For the past 3 years Austin has been working for the union gospel mission’s, Tshimakain Creek Camp as the assistant manager. He enjoys anything to do with the outdoors, especially backpacking, hunting, and a good game of pinochle. He loves working with youth and wants to serve God wherever he is. He loves to travel and has been to, Mexico, Russia, and parts of Europe, Africa, and Canada. He is excited to serve God in the Pacific Northwest with Peak 7.

Nicole grew up in northeast Pennsylvania and didn’t realize the difference between a mountain and a hill until she moved to Colorado for college. She graduated from the Air Force Academy with a Bachelor’s in Meteorology. During her time in the Air Force she was stationed in Alaska and Utah as a weather officer. She loves playing outside, competitive sports, and delicious treats. Nicole has been a youth leader with high school students for the past five years. She is excited to serve youth as a part of Peak 7, and to see lives changed from encountering the awesomeness of God.

Justin grew up living and working on kids camps with his family in Colorado and Arizona. Justin would say His faith in Jesus was formed in the outdoor ministry environment. Teaching people about God through the lens of nature has been his focus for many years. He has had the opportunity to work at a number of dynamic outdoor camps and programs as well as leading and teaching youth in an urban setting. His heart for homeless and underprivileged youth led him to help start a transitional home for foster kids who were aging out of the system. When he has free time you will find him outside climbing, hiking, swimming, backpacking, and generally exploring new places with new people.

Andrew is originally from Loveland, Colorado. His dad introduced him to the great outdoors at a very young age and he has been frolicking in the mountains as much as possible ever since. In 2007 he moved to Spokane to attend the Moody Bible Institute where he is finishing a degree in Biblical Studies. Over the past few years he has worked as a climbing instructor in Spokane and recently began raft guiding with Peak 7. His primary passion is climbing, whether it's on rock, ice, or big mountains but he can also be found splitboarding, kayaking, slacklining, or eating copious amounts of cookies in his free time. Andrew loves sharing his experience in the outdoors with others and is constantly looking forward to his next adventure. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve youth through Peak 7 and is excited to see God transform lives through His creation.

Becky Galage

Becky grew up in Midlothian, Virginia, where she learned to love the outdoors from a very young age. Always having a somewhat competitive and active spirit, she has been involved in many sports growing up including soccer, swimming, volleyball, and water-skiing. She graduated from Covenant College in Lookout Mt., GA. While there, she played soccer, studied Biblical and Theological Studies and the art of enjoying good ‘ole southern cooking and sweet tea. Over the past couple years Becky has worked with youth in various settings. She has volunteered with a high school ministry called Student Ventures, led small groups, coached soccer teams, and worked with middle school girls in an after-school program. Becky is excited and grateful to have the opportunity to work with Peak 7 and play a small part in displaying the majesty of God’s creation for youth in Seattle.

AJ was born and raised in Francesville, Indiana. He attended Appalachian Bible College in West Virginia and graduated with a degree in Bible/Theology and Camp Management. While at the school he got involved with the world of adventure sports, and guided for two years on world-class whitewater in WV. After graduating he accepted an internship with Discovery Outfitters, at the time based out of Canby Grove Conference Center. After a year he was promoted to administrative director and is now serving as the Program Coordinator for Discovery Outfitters/ Peak 7 Portland. He is married to Liz Myers, and loves basketball and whitewater rafting.

Liz was raised in Prineville, OR where, at 15, she was introduced to Discovery Outfitters, a Christian adventure ministry, through her youth pastor. At 16 she got involved in Discovery’s Guide In Training program. She went on to study at Appalachian Bible College in West Virginia, attaining her bachelor's degree in Bible/Theology and Camp Management. She spent two years guiding with the school's outfitting company in WV. After graduating she moved back to Oregon with her husband, and remained heavily involved with Discovery as he worked with the company full-time. She is now serving as the Portland Associate Program Coordinator for Peak 7 Portland/Discovery Outfitters. She loves climbing outdoors and whitewater rafting.

Dr. Kerrigan is Director of Wilderness Medicine. He is a board-certified general surgeon and former Instructor of the U. S. military’s Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course. He has practiced in underserved areas around the world and has published research articles on tropical diseases and venomous snake bite. He is a recipient of the American Medical Association’s prestigious Nathan Davis Award for “outstanding contributions to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of the public health.”

Leslie Kerrigan, RN

Leslie teaches our BLS courses. She is a nurse with experience in hospital nursing (intensive care unit, operating room) as well as school nursing. She raised five sons on the mission field and now has five lovely daughters-in-law and ten pre-school grandchildren. Leslie accompanies her husband, Kevin, on medical mission trips where she joins him caring for patients on the wards, in the clinic and in the operating room. She also teaches nursing care to the national staff.

Daniel Klassen
Wilderness First Responder Instructor
Daniel grew up as a missionary kid in Peru and Ecuador. He started climbing mountains at the age of 15 with his high school's mountain climbing club. He is now the director of that club in Ecuador. His passions include mountaineering, photography, medicine, and mentoring high-school students. As a Wilderness EMT, Daniel is in charge of the medical aspects of short term missions teams that serve in the jungles. He teaches WFR courses for Peak 7.

Michael Douglas

Michael is currently a student at Point Loma Nazarene University where
he is studying Biochemistry and hopes to move on to medical school
sometime in the near future. As well as being a student, he is the
coordinator for the university's outdoor leadership program. His goal
is to provide students with leadership opportunities, which would
allow them to lead effective and safe outdoor adventures. His
intention is to not only encourage good outdoor guiding but to also
prepare guides to be outdoor ministers while exploring the wonders of
God and His creation.

Pavel was born in Otradny, Russia. In July of 1991 Pavel’s Family moved to Spokane, WA. He was raised in a low-income family and never really had the chance to experience the outdoors. Several years back, Mike, a neighborhood friend and youth group leader, took the youth group guys on a rafting trip; ever since that trip, Pavel has been drawn to the outdoors. Mountain biking, whitewater rafting, backpacking, and rock climbing are several of Pavel's favorite interests. He worked at several youth camps and has been involved in many other camps working with at-risk youth. He loves being able to relate with youth who share similar backgrounds as him, and having the amazing opportunity to share the Gospel with them in the incredible outdoors.

Daniel is an active stay-at-home dad who helps lead climbing, backpacking, and rafting trips with Peak 7 in his free time. He grew up in Prescott, Arizona and lived in Texas and Colorado before moving to beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He is married to Alyssa Shaw M.D. and they have 1 son, Payson. He has worked as an engineer for an oil and gas company, as a middle school science and math teacher, as a climbing guide, and at several outdoor retail stores. Daniel is also a competitive runner and triathlete and coaches both sports. He is passionate about bringing youth into the wilderness and sharing the love of Christ with them. Daniel loves rock and ice climbing, kayaking, running, and biking. He has traveled around the world seeking adventure and exploring God’s beautiful earth. He runs a bouldering gym in Idaho Run, Rock & Roll.

Ian is one of Ryan’s four brothers, who all grew up together in Ecuador and Kenya. He graduated from Moody Aviation in Tennessee with a BS in Missionary Aviation Technology. Ian has traveled all over the world, four of the seven continents, enjoying the outdoors. Though he loves the outdoors and all it has to offer, his real passion is enjoying the beauty from thousands of feet in the air. Ian is currently working as a flight instructor and aviation teacher at Moody Aviation, Felts Field. Ian and his wife, Lela, live in Spokane, WA.

Scott Jamieson

Scott was born and raised in the beautiful Northwest and graduated from WSU with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has enjoyed many outdoor pursuits including camping, hiking, climbing and scuba diving. However, his enduring love for kayaking has lead him to enjoy endless hours on many rivers over the past 20 years. Because of his contagious passion for this sport he has encouraged others to become active in kayaking and/or whitewater rafting, including his wife and 2 kids. Each year the Jamiesons center their vacation time around rafting and kayaking excursions. Together they have conquered many rivers and have made numerous memories as a result of their whitewater pursuits. In order to support their river habit Scott and his wife Melody own ten Fantastic Sams hair salons and work together in the daily operation of this business. While off the water Scott enjoys photography, Thai cooking and is an accomplished Jazz pianist, often arranging songs to play for church and youth group functions. Scott truly enjoys being part of a ministry that combines his love for whitewater with reaching out to kids and showing them God’s amazing creation.

Sara grew up in the small town of Concrete, Washington. She graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Over the past 3 years, she has worked as a traveling occupational therapist throughout the country (including Hawaii). God has blessed her with incredible adventures and learning experiences! She has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys sharing God’s creation with others. From rock climbing and day hikes to mountaineering and extended backpacking trips, Sara is always up for an adventure! She recently traveled to New Zealand for a 6-week Adventure Bible Course. Besides outdoor activities, Sara loves to spend time with family and friends and always enjoys a great game night! She is also very involved with coaching wheelchair and adapted sports here in Spokane. Her desire is to glorify God in all that she does. She looks forward to another season of deepening faith and great adventures through Peak 7 trips.

Brian Jamieson

Brian, son of Scott, is an incredible young man with a heart for the Lord. He is an experienced kayaker and can handle himself on the mountain with the best of them. He began kayaking at the age of 3 and had his first hard-shell kayak at 6. He attended kayak camp each summer on the Payette River beginning at age 6 until he graduated and began working as a safety boater for the company. He also enjoys the sport of paintball and plays bass for his school worship band.He is a great role model for the youth that we work with.

Brady comes to us from Springfield, Oregon. He has served as Treasurer of Peak 7 Adventures from its inception. A true native of the Pacific Northwest, Brady enjoys all the outdoor sports this region has to offer including mountaineering, rock climbing, kayaking and anything that gets him outside and into God’s creation. “Call me crazy, but it always seems to me that the most rewarding days out leave you cold, wet and more appreciative of a dry warm bed.” Brady graduated from Seattle Pacific University where he met and married his wife Alisha. Over the summers during his college years Brady served as a wildland firefighter for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, fighting forest fires across five western states. Brady earned his status as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2004 and owns a tax and accounting practice in Spokane Valley, WA.

A native to the beautiful Northwest area has climbed to the grueling base camp of Mt. Rainier, kayaked the raging and treacherous Sultan River, even braved..................seeing the Nutcracker ballet with his
wife just to make her smile. He's a man of many talents and abilities, and he adds a joyful, positive energy to the Peak 7 team. Getting his CS and Physics degrees from Whitworth college, he fell in love with the city of Spokane, a little frozen yogurt place called Didiers, and game called Ultimate Frisbee. In May of this year he felt the calling to move back to Seattle
where he lives currently with his wife Amanda and currently working for a software company and enjoying his weekends in the great outdoors.

Doug Cheney

Doug brings a spirit of encouragement, enthusiasm and energy to the group. His home town is Tucson, Arizona and attended Liberty University and the University of Arizona majoring in Business Management. His experience and interests are in rock climbing, mountain biking, snow boarding, kayaking and long boarding to name a few. Along with his interests in extreme activities Doug’s background is in business management and is currently a senior sales consultant for a technology company in Seattle, WA. He has experience with leading kids of all ages and loves to have fun!

Dave Zoller

Dave spent 25 years in a bank management career in the northwest. His banking career included retail branch and district management, sales management, program and project management. He retired after an additional 5 years at a regional utility company where he worked as a manager in corporate business services. In retirement, Dave spends the bulk of his time doing non profit work. He volunteers with Medical Teams International, Haiti Foundation of Hope (medical missions trips for the past eight years to Haiti) , Mosaic Church, SoulFormation, Portland Rescue Mission and the Alliance Development Fund. His interests include cycling, whitewater rafting and mentoring. Dave has been volunteering as a whitewater guide for the past four years.

Rick has been a follower of Christ since he was young. He recently began volunteering with Peak 7’s climbing program. Rick enjoys working with youth and taking them on outdoor adventures. In 1995 he took over the Jefferson County 4-H Search and Rescue club and teaches rope rescue and takes the kids on high adventures. He has also been involved with Boy Scouts in various leadership capacities since 1994. He works with multiple groups in the Central Oregon area, providing climbing and wilderness instruction.
Rick’s personal climbing adventure began in 1969 when he attended the Portland Mazamas’ basic climbing class and successfully climbed Mt. Hood. Over the past 42 years he has climbed over 60 mountains in the Northwest and hundreds different climbing routes. He has worked with various Search and Rescue teams and obtained the State of Oregon Search & Rescue Certification. Presently, Rick is a NFPA rope rescue technician instructor for the State of Oregon, teaching rope course for the local fire department. Rick is an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and is working on becoming an AMGA SPI course provider. He is also PCGI Single Pitch Guide certified.

Tom has always been interested in the outdoors, backpacking by the age of 13 and getting involved in climbing and rafting as a young adult. In 1992 he heard about High Cascade Adventures, the new wilderness ministry of Outreach Northwest, and was immediately excited to become involved. He was a ‘year-one’ volunteer and volunteered with the organization for 8 years before accepting God’s call on his life to become a full-time employee. For the next 10 years Tom served as the Program Director for HCA. Tom remained on staff through the dissolution of Outreach Northwest when HCA became Discovery Outfitters, an independent organization, and the acquisition of Discovery by Canby Grove Camp and Conference Center a few years later. Tom remains an active volunteer, leader and trainer now as Discovery transitions to becoming Peak 7 – Portland.
Tom has summited seven different peaks in the Cascades above 10,000 feet. He loves to teach what he knows about God, life and adventures to others, and enjoys being able to spend time in God’s creation.
