Seattle
Peak 7 comes to Seattle!
The Seattle skyline is a beautiful sight to see with Mt. Rainer standing tall in the background, but nothing is better than the sight of a kid from the streets of the greater Seattle-Tacoma area standing on top of a mountain in the Cascades they never thought they'd climb. Or listening to a youth tell you about the hopeless traps of addiction surrounding their life and being able to share perspective with them. Or watching a kid once part of a gang screaming with joy and fear at the same time as she/he stares at a quickly approaching whitewater rapid.
Through extreme adventure, Peak 7 brings hope and valuable life-skills to the at-risk and homeless youth of Western Washington. Regardless of the background of our participants, we aim to meet kids where they are and help them move forward from where they stand. Whether it is fear, insecurity, addiction, or shame, our outdoor programs provides the gear, the venue, and the support for kids from any background to overcome the obstacles they face.
If you are interested in learning more about what we do or how you can get involved, email us at seattle@peak7.org.
We look forward to having you join us!
Get Involved
As we are launching in Seattle, there are great opportunities to get involved with Peak 7 to reach the youth of the greater Seattle-Tacoma area. We are in need of summer staff, guides, volunteers, etc. Depending on the position, you can volunteer 40 hours a week, or three, but if you have a heart to reach kids in the Seattle-Tacoma area, we want to be the conduit to allow you to get involved. In addition we are in need of 15 passenger vans, trailers, gear donations and warehouse and office space. If you would like to be involved in Peak 7 in any capacity or to donate, please call the office (425) 296-7773, or email: austin@peak7.org.
